There are 25 million individuals worldwide living with cancer. Eleven million will be diagnosed in 2007, and seven million people will die this year of cancer. In the U.S., cancer has become the number two cause of death (550,000 deaths in 2004), behind cardiovascular heart disease (654,000 deaths in 2004).
